Use
- As a dietary supplement, Artiflex can be used to relieve pain and improve joint function in patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis.
- Take this medication by mouth, usually one (1) capsule per day or as recommended by the physician.
- To get the most benefit, patients are advised to swallow the whole capsule. Do not break open, crush, dissolve or chew it.
- For adults use only, not intended for children, pregnant and lactating women.

The safety and effectiveness in paediatric patients have not been established.
Precautions
- Contraindicated in patients with diabetes and those who are taking blood-thinning anticoagulants. Consult a physician first before taking glucosamine and chondroitin.
- Use in caution for patients with known allergic reactions to shellfish.
- The effects of these supplements on a growing child or developing baby are not yet known. For that reason, glucosamine and chondroitin are not recommended for children, women who are pregnant and women who could become pregnant.
